A hospital in Toledo, Ohio, is seeking a locum tenens physician specializing in obstetrics to provide coverage during a period of staff shortage. This opportunity involves a dynamic environment with both low and high-risk pregnancies, and collaboration with OB/GYNs and residents. The role offers a varied schedule that includes some 24-hour shifts on L&D, as well as involvement in both routine and complex obstetrical procedures.

• Start Date: 7/26 (first date of coverage needed)
• Schedule: Various 24-hour shifts and some daytime hours as specified
• Patient Population: Women in labor and delivery, primarily high-risk pregnancies
• Location: Toledo, OH

• Provide obstetrical care in a hospital setting, including labor and delivery.
• Manage both low and high-risk pregnancies and related procedures.
• Collaborate with onsite residents and other OB/GYNs.
• Participate in teaching activities at this teaching facility.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections, VBACs, and management of complicated deliveries.

• Board Certified in Obstetrics
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Ohio medical license required
• Recent NPDB self-query required

• Includes both day shifts (8 am - 5 pm) and 24-hour shifts, varying by date.
• On-call responsibilities are in-house.
• Includes some weekend coverage.

• Expertise in treating both low and high-risk obstetrical patients.
• Proficiency in standard and advanced obstetrical procedures.
• Ability to interpret fetal heart rates and conduct obstetric ultrasounds.
• Effective decision-making in emergency and non-emergency scenarios.
