We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prepping and assembling products according to specifications, while maintaining compliance with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements. The role demands attention to detail and adherence to strict safety and manufacturing practices in a dynamic and sometimes cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Prep and assemble products to specification.

• Comply with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Ensure cases and pallets are configured safely and according to standards.

• Maintain scheduled production to meet team business goals.

• Notify management of any potential food safety or quality issue.

• Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• Demonstrate attention to detail.

• Understand written and verbal policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.

• Work overtime as required, even on short notice.

• Work on a flexible schedule based on production needs.

• Operate manual and automated processing equipment.

• Communicate with management regarding any issues, whether work-related or personal.

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• Attention to detail.

• Understanding of written and verbal policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.

• Ability to work overtime as required, even on short notice.

• Basic math skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, packaging, food production, food manufacturing, and food handling.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

• Knowledge of labeling processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
