Industrial Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer drives lean transformation and operational excellence at our Lewisville facility. This role partners across teams to optimize remanufacturing and reverse logistics operations through automation, data-driven insights, and standard lean practices. You’ll challenge the status quo, eliminate waste, and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) while helping scale high-efficiency automated and manual processes.This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Lead and support lean transformation initiatives across manufacturing and logistics operationsDeploy and optimize automation solutions (equipment and systems) to improve performanceAnalyze data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutionsEstablish KPIs, measurement systems, and SPC tools to monitor and drive resultsImplement lean methods including standard work, 5S, kanban, TAKT, WIP optimization, and visual managementPartner with IT and engineering to deliver system integrations and digital improvementsInvestigate and apply emerging methodologies and technologies in the field of continuous improvement, such as predictive analytics, machine learning, or Internet of Things (IoT) applications, to drive innovation and future-proof business processesSupport new product introductions (NPI), workstation setup, and line launchesConduct time studies and process mapping to improve efficiency and throughputFacilitate cross-functional projects and kaizen eventsPromote lean culture through training, coaching, and team engagementCollaborate with suppliers and partners to improve material flow, quality, and lead timesWhat are the requirements needed for this position?3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environmentsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related fieldStrong knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office; strong analytical and presentation skillsExperience with data analysis and performance tracking (SPC preferred)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsSelf-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and comfort working in fast-paced environmentsExperience applying data analysis and structured problem-solving to identify trends, evaluate options, and align recommendations with broader organizational goalsAbility to make timely, well-reasoned decisions and progresses work effectively in situations with incomplete or changing informationWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Lean transformation and/or operational excellence experienceSix Sigma training or Green Belt certificationExperience with value stream mapping and kaizen eventsFamiliarity with Minitab, SQL, or data analytics toolsAutoCAD (2D) for facility layoutsKnowledge of consumer electronics or mobile device manufacturing#AssurantProudEBPay Range:$74,600.00 - $124,700.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.If there is no posting end date listed then this is a pipeline requisition, and we will continue to collect applications on an ongoing basis.Helping People Thrive in a Connected WorldConnect with us.
