This position plays an essential role in supporting animal welfare, food safety, and efficient operations. Drivers must be able to work seasonal schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and longer shifts during peak demand periods. The position reports to the Transportation Manager, works closely with the live haul and live production teams, and has no supervisory responsibilities.What You'll Do• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles while transporting live poultry to and from farms• Follow all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies• Secure loads before transport and monitor animal welfare in transit• Accurately complete trip logs, weights, equipment reports, and other required documentation• Conduct DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers• Promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor• Assist with poultry handling during unloading and perform additional duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For• Valid Class A CDL and current medical card• At least 21 years of age• At least one year of verifiable driving experience; three years preferred• Knowledge of DOT, federal, and state transportation regulations• High school diploma or equivalent• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and complete accurate records• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently• Previous live poultry hauling experience preferred, but not requiredBenefits at Circle S Ranch• Medical, dental, and vision insurance• Company-paid life insurance• Company-paid short-term and long-term disability• 401(k) retirement plan with company match• Paid time off, up to 80 hours during the first year• Safety training and required personal protective equipment providedPhysical and Work Requirements• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain and cold• Sit and drive for extended periods and climb in and out of truck cabs multiple times per shift• Handle live turkeys weighing up to five pounds• Open and close coop doors and help guide birds during unloading• Insert fiberglass panels during heavy rain to protect poultry from spray• Pump fuel and complete other tasks around the truck yard as neededSafety CommitmentSafety is a core value at Circle S Ranch.
