Vice President R&D, Chemistries & Supplies Division

Agilent Technologies seeks an experienced scientific and business leader to serve as Vice President of R&D for the Chemistries and Supplies Division. This role oversees global R&D strategy, innovation portfolio, and product development for chromatography columns, sample preparation, and instrument supplies. The successful candidate will drive technology advancement, build organizational capabilities, and deliver sustained business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Establish multi-year innovation strategy and technology roadmaps for the Chemistries and Supplies portfolio
  • Own quality, health, and execution of the new-product-development pipeline and direct investment allocation
  • Build scientific capabilities, leadership capacity, and organizational culture for sustained market leadership
  • Integrate research, product development, manufacturing science, and commercialization functions
  • Partner with business leaders to assess market attractiveness, competitive differentiation, and financial return

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in R&D, technology, or product development
  • Portfolio management experience spanning research, new product development, and platform development
  • Significant expertise in separation science, chromatography consumables, or analytical technologies
  • Proven track record leading large, global, multidisciplinary R&D organizations
  • Demonstrated success developing and commercializing differentiated products with measurable customer value
  • Strong ability to balance resource allocation across projects with different time horizons and risk profiles
  • Executive-level communication skills and strategic business acumen
