Location: Monmouth County, NJ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Massage Therapist to join our team at Swan Hospice. As a Hospice Massage Therapist, you will provide massage therapy to terminally ill adult patients, promoting physical comfort, relaxation, and emotional well-being in their end-of-life journey. Our organization is dedicated to providing holistic, supportive care that respects the dignity and individuality of each patient and their family.

Responsibilities:

Provide massage therapy to terminally ill adult patients, focusing on relaxation, pain management, and physical comfort
Develop and implement individualized massage therapy plans that align with patient goals and priorities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify treatment needs and potential contraindications
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with healthcare teams
Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and advancements in massage therapy

Requirements:

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 years
Level of Education:
A state license (LMT/CMT), graduation from an accredited program and specialized training in end-of-life care, palliative care, or oncology massage

Working Conditions:

This is a per diem position with variable scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Travel to patient homes, nursing homes, and other care settings is required
