Job Description

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and supporting surgeons during surgeries. They ensure a sterile environment and help facilitate smooth surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment according to procedure requirements.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain sterile techniques to prevent infection.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor and manage surgical supplies and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
• Follow strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols throughout procedures.
• Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate case records.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in surgical settings.
• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
• Knowledge of various surgical procedures listed, including OR, laparoscopic, vascular, orthopedic, and gynecological surgeries.
• Strong understanding of sterilization, decontamination, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments and handle multiple priorities.
