Position Summary Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Pharmacy Initiatives, the Senior Pharmacy Intelligence and Contracting Analyst serves as the systemwide subject matter expert for pharmacy analytics, spend intelligence, and strategic sourcing initiatives across UC Health. The position collaborates with pharmacy leadership, supply chain teams, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to reduce pharmaceutical purchasing costs, optimize operational performance, and advance systemwide contracting and sourcing strategies. The incumbent provides expert-level analytical leadership and consultation, leading the development of complex analytical frameworks, dashboards, forecasts, and reporting solutions that support executive decision-making and strategic business initiatives. Exercising a high degree of independence and judgment, the position influences systemwide operational, financial, and sourcing strategies through data-driven insights and recommendations. The Senior Pharmacy Intelligence and Contracting Analyst serves as a trusted advisor to UC Health leadership on pharmacy analytics, vendor performance, contract optimization, and opportunities to improve financial outcomes, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. This position is governed by the terms and conditions in the agreement for the Technical Unit (TX) between the University of California and the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) bargaining unit contract.
