Quality Control Technician
Location: N25 W23040 Paul Road, Pewaukee, WI 53072
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

The Dixon Group is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for in-process audits in production, inspecting and approving incoming materials, and managing calibration of gauges. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and has a strong background in inspection, measurement, and metrology.

What You'll Do:
- Develops incoming and in process inspection plans
- Creates inspection reports and initiates a material review board (MRB) if parts are not in compliance with drawing
- Supports engineering by designing and producing test and inspection fixtures
- Receives incoming product and ensures product compliance and integrity
- Is involved in investigations and corrective actions for defects and customer complaints
- Initiates cost reduction activities to minimize waste, scrap, and rework, which will directly reduce the business unit's cost of poor quality (COPQ)
- Continual improvement agent for the business
- Maintain and manage quality control instruments and testing equipment
- Ensure compliance with the QMS by providing training and conducting audits
- Use the DDS (ERP System) to receive and document inventory
- Inspect products using CMM, Vision System, Calipers, Micrometers and other equipment as needed
- Perform statistical analysis studies on parts for incoming and PPAP needs
- Help develop the QA team into a world class department
- Develop and maintain adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures
- Perform internal and external quality audits.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- CAD software certificate such as; CSWA (SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate Certificate) or CSWP (SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Professional Certificate)
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications using GD&T standards
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude for fitting and assembling parts for functional testing
- Proficient in software tools including Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, CAM, and PDM systems
- Ability to adapt to new platforms as needed
- Ability to use a CMM, Visions system and all other measurement tools
