Project AccountantJoin a respected and growing construction organization that focuses on State and Tribal projects, as a Project Accountant. In this key role, you’ll partner closely with Project Managers and project teams to support the financial success of construction projects from startup through closeout. You’ll be responsible for project accounting, contract administration, billing, subcontractor compliance, and financial reporting while helping ensure projects remain accurate, compliant, and financially sound. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys collaborating with operations teams and making a direct impact on project performance.What You’ll DoSet up and maintain projects within the ERP system, including rate tables.Prepare and analyze accounting entries and general ledger transactions.Partner with Project Managers on project billings and accounts receivable collections.Oversee subcontractor compliance requirements.Process subcontractor invoice payments while building positive vendor relationships.Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable balances.Review and reconcile project contracts and subcontracts.Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, including project closeout activities.What You’ll GainCompetitive salary range of $85,000 – $100,000, depending on experience.Excellent benefits (HSA & PPO), with family coverage, 401k match to 4%.Future hybrid schedule.Opportunity to work on diverse commercial construction projects.High visibility and collaboration with project leadership and finance teams.A stable and team-oriented environment focused on quality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Who You AreThree or more years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, general ledger accounting, or a related area.Experience with Vista/Viewpoint accounting software is a plus.Prefer experience with State projects.Strong accounting and reconciliation skills with attention to detail.Comfortable preparing reports and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
