Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Postpartum Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 16:00)
- Start Date: ASAP
- First Time Traveler: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, to meet staffing needs
- Patient Census: Average of 15-20
- Rooms/Beds: 11 Rooms / 15 Beds
- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year
- Floating: Yes, travelers are the first to float within their scope of practice

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide exceptional care to postpartum patients
- Assist in high-risk deliveries and circulate during C-sections
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols
- Engage in patient education, including breastfeeding support and discharge teaching
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Skills & Qualifications:


- Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- BLS
- NR
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1-3
- Charting System Experience: Required (Epic)
- Must possess a valid CA state license.
- Pending Licenses not accepted.

Unit Information:


- Type of Facility: High-risk OB care with a culturally diverse population
- Additional Support Services: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Social Services, etc.
- Census: Approximately 20 daily visits

- Must commit to the contracted schedule with no more than 7 days off
- References required: 2 covering 1 year of experience within the past 3 years
