School Psychologist Supervisor
The School Psychologist promotes student success by providing assessment, consultation, intervention, and collaborative problem-solving services that support students' academic achievement, behavioral functioning, social-emotional well-being, and access to educational opportunities.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services in accordance with federal, state, and district requirements.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare written evaluation reports that provide educationally relevant recommendations.
- Participate as a multidisciplinary team member in eligibility, IEP, manifestation determination, and other student support meetings.
- Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and problem-solving processes.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff regarding student learning, behavior, social-emotional, and intervention strategies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
- Collaborate with school personnel to promote positive school climate, student engagement, and safe learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform educational planning and decision-making.
- Assist with threat assessment and crisis response activities in accordance with district procedures.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between schools, families, community agencies, and outside service providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, records, and reports in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.
- Provide professional development and technical assistance to school personnel on topics related to learning, behavior, and special education.
- Remain current on best practices, legal requirements, and ethical standards within the field of school psychology.
Other Duties: Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education or designee.
Job Specifications: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required): Employee must have a Valid SC Certification as a School Psychologist II or III.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting. Experience with MTSS, behavior intervention, and crisis response.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; stoop or kneel; crouch or crawl. Additional physical requirements include the following: Physically capable of frequently lifting or moving up to 40 pounds; Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus; Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; Manual dexterity for the purpose of using a telephone and data entry; Read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; and Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone.
