TITLE
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

SCHEDULE
Nights (3x12 typical contract)

REQUIREMENTS
- License: IL license in hand required at time of submittal
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, PALS, NRP
- Experience: 1 year preferred, first-timers accepted
- EMR: Epic
- Unit-specific skills: Triage, 12-lead ECGs, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, starting/maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, stroke/CVA care

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the emergency department to patients across all age groups.
- Assess patients' conditions and determine priority of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and post-discharge care.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Request Time Off: Max 7 days (no RTO first week; no new RTO after submission; approval required if >7 days)
- Vaccines: COVID-19 vaccine NOT required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Fit testing: Facial hair must allow proper fit test (may be required to shave)
- Onboarding modules & labs: Required pre-start
- Parking: Free
