Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) – Alabama

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Southeast Alabama

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule based on traveler preference; block scheduling available; every other weekend required

• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 32-bed critical care unit managing general medical-surgical and trauma cases
• EPIC charting system with 16 hours of orientation provided
• Block scheduling may be accommodated to support work-life balance
• First-time travelers welcome with consideration on a case-by-case basis
• Contract length and extension opportunities available (6-month break required after 2 consecutive contracts)

Requirements:

• Active Alabama RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Core skills required: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilator management, central line care, IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, IV insertion and maintenance, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience in large healthcare facilities required
• Permanent address must be at least 75-90 miles from facility location
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Pre-start modules required (non-billable, 8+ hours)
