PROJECT MANAGER – TRANSMISSION & SUBSTATIONTHE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOININGJoin a large, established organization responsible for delivering critical energy infrastructure projectsWork within a project management organization overseeing capital projects across transmission and substation environmentsPartner with engineering, construction, project controls, estimating, supply chain, operations, safety, environmental, and other technical teamsManage multiple capital projects from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeoutJoin a highly collaborative environment with significant exposure to both internal stakeholders and external contractorsLOCATIONHybrid – 3 days per week in office or visiting project sites, 2 days remoteApproximately 20% travel to project and work sitesSite visits may require driving up to approximately 200 miles one way; mileage is reimbursedMust be comfortable walking active outdoor project sites with rough terrain, uneven ground, and hillsPPE will be required during site visitsWHAT THEY OFFER YOUOpportunity to manage multiple capital projects within critical infrastructureOwnership across the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, risk, and executionExposure to transmission and substation construction projectsHigh visibility across engineering, construction, operations, project controls, and leadershipOpportunity to manage projects with budgets typically totaling less than $25M and low-to-moderate levels of complexityHybrid flexibility while maintaining hands-on exposure to active project sitesWHAT YOU WILL DOManage multiple projects from planning and design through construction, startup, commissioning, turnover, and closeoutOwn project performance across scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, risk, and stakeholder communicationLead cross-functional project teams consisting of engineering, construction, project controls, estimating, supply chain, EHS, QA/QC, operations, and external contractorsDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, reporting, risk plans, procurement strategies, and execution plansCoordinate contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal resources to keep projects on schedule and within budgetLead project meetings, status reviews, kickoff meetings, and stakeholder communicationsMonitor project costs and schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, PowerPlant, Maximo, or similar platformsSupport procurement, contracting, equipment selection, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and turnover activitiesConduct periodic site visits to understand project progress, coordinate with field teams, and address execution challengesMaintain a strong focus on safety, environmental requirements, quality, and project controls throughout executionTHE BACKGROUND THAT FITS4+ years of Project Management experience supporting capital, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projectsExperience with electric utility transmission or substation projects is highly preferredStrong understanding of project scope, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, risk management, and construction executionExperience coordinating engineering, construction, contractors, vendors, project controls, and other cross-functional stakeholdersExperience with Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling toolsExposure to financial/project controls platforms such as EcoSys, PowerPlant, Maximo, or similar systemsComfortable working in both office and active project-site environmentsAble to travel approximately 20% and drive to regional project sites as neededStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage matrixed project teamsCollege degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experienceReference: 70313
