Wound Care RN
The Wound Care RN position involves the assessment and management of various wounds and pressure injuries. Wound care RNs will evaluate and treat patients with new and chronic dermatologic conditions. This role will involve caring for patients with ostomy placements. Special equipment used in this role includes wound vacs and novel therapies, along with camera photography. Daily responsibilities include wound and ulcer assessment, management, and photography for documentation. A patient ratio of 1:6 is expected during shifts. Every third weekend and every other holiday may be required. All employees must receive the Flu vaccine, with no exemptions allowed. Nurses with previous employment in the health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before reapplying as a traveler. Completion of mandatory modules upon hire is required to ensure compliance with unit standards.
