Job Title: Church Bookkeeper


Pay: $15-$22 DOE
Job Type: Part-Time (Approximately 10 Hours per Week): Flexible start and finish times

Job Summary

The Church Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the church's financial operations with integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. This role ensures responsible stewardship of church resources in alignment with nonprofit accounting standards and church policies.


This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role (nonprofit or church experience required).
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and use Realm Accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with church staff and volunteers.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
