GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The CAD Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the preparation, development, review, and management of computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and technical documentation. This role supervises CAD technicians, drafters, and designers to ensure that all drawings are accurate, consistent, completed on schedule, and compliant with project specifications, applicable codes, industry standards, and company procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assign , prioritize and monitor CAD work across the team while balancing individual workloads, project deadlines, technical complexity, and employee capability.
- Perform hands- on CAD design, drafting, drawing review, and 3D modeling.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to CAD Designers, Operators, Checkers and other assigned personnel.
- Lead/support assigned projects by coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Program teams to resolve design, documentation, schedule and resource issues.
- Ensure drawings, models, BOM’s and related documentation meet established drafting standards, revision- control requirements, quality expectations and manufacturability before release.
