About the Opportunity

\n

Our client is an established manufacturer of highly engineered products and technical capital equipment serving industrial, manufacturing, engineering, and research-driven organizations. We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to drive business development and expand customer relationships across a multi-state territory in the Eastern United States.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
\n
• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
\n
• Build and expand relationships with existing customers while increasing market share within key accounts.
\n
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, needs assessment, technical discussions, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
\n
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and application-focused discussions with technical and business stakeholders.
\n
• Collaborate closely with engineering, service, and support teams to develop solutions aligned with customer requirements.
\n
• Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity, and customer information within the CRM system.
\n
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 3-5+ years of successful outside sales experience selling technical capital equipment, analytical systems, metrology solutions, engineered products, or related technologies.
\n
• Demonstrated success managing a geographic sales territory and achieving business growth objectives.
\n
• Experience engaging customers within manufacturing, engineering, quality or research-focused organizations.
\n
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex products, applications, and value propositions.
\n
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote field-based environment.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
\n
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % throughout the assigned territory.
