IOP Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Gonzales, Louisiana location to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide patient service. The position operates Monday–Thursday 8:30am–6:30pm, Friday mornings, and rotating Saturdays, with opportunities for growth and quarterly performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Process billing and collect payments as needed
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and provide customer service
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or current certification
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for overtime
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
