Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level IV Trauma Center ER, managing a diverse patient population with complex medical needs. Deliver clinical excellence while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients efficiently, prioritizing emergency care needs.
• Administer treatments, medications, and IV therapies, including managing ventilators, drips, and dysrhythmias.
• Monitor patient status continuously using Phillips cardiac monitors and respond promptly to abnormalities.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and ED team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR (EPIC) and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment, including supporting behavioral health protocols and security procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ER or high-acuity nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EPIC EMR and advanced cardiac monitoring.
• Strong IV skills, with experience in difficult sticks and medication preparation.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility for self/scheduled shifts.
