This individual will work closely with Business and Technical teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be leveraged to make sound business decisions. Business Analysts must understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Essential to be able to build an understanding of the business at a level of detail to identify and address critical issuesWork with clients to determine business requirements priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and support defining our ongoing BI & Data Warehouse strategyEngage business and development teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reportsAccountable for providing project leadership including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of managementConducting analysis of functional business processes and functional business requirements and drive the development of user stories as a member of an Agile Scrum TeamEducate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool, displaying the information as content for the purpose of analysis with the option to exploreInfluence is limited to area of specialization and unit/teamWhat you'll need to succeedBA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience3+ Years of Business Data Analyst ExperienceExcellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignmentsStrong critical thinking & problem-solving competency with the ability to research complex data-oriented problemsProactive and results-driven with a positive can-do attitudeExcels in a team environment (distributed)Other Skills and Experience:Commercial Insurance and Financial principles preferred.Experience working on an Agile team as a BAData profilingStrong SQL skillsProficient in Word, MS Excel and VisioTechnical experience with BI Tools and Python is a plus.Exposure to APIs and understanding of XML and JSON language preferred.Exposure to AIReady to make a bigger impact? Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
