Chick-fil-A Bolingbrook Manager Position
Chick-fil-A Bolingbrook is seeking talented, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for serving and leading others. Leading at Chick-fil-A is more than a job, it's an opportunity. Managers will undergo a six-week paid training program at the restaurant to gain personal and professional experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment.
Requirements of the job:
- Available to work 5-6 days and 35+ hours per week, including Saturdays. Chick-fil-A is always closed on Sundays.
- Able to balance work and personal life, keeping personal matters out of the restaurant while maintaining a healthy focus on business operations, team morale, and culture.
- Demonstrate a strong capacity to grow, learn, and educate the team about new products, systems, and processes.
- Influence positively on cleanliness, quality, and safety standards in food preparation and service areas in accordance with sanitary procedures that meet or exceed all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines.
- Perform in various roles, such as production manager, service manager, point-of-sale manager, and shift manager.
- Maintain a calm and respectful demeanor, especially during peak periods, to preserve a consistent experience for our guests and team members.
- Interact with guests anticipating and responding to their needs through clear and pleasant communication.
- Implement the strategic business decisions and objectives of the management team and the owner/operator.
- Ensure team members are consistently trained and motivated to follow all Chick-fil-A policies and procedures.
- Help with shift management: breaks, communication, calls, discipline, reward, and recognition.
- Conduct daily team meetings and shift setups to provide a goal, vision, and expectations for the day.
- Train and advise team members constantly on restaurant procedures and Chick-fil-A best practices.
- Empower, encourage, and provide honest feedback to team members daily.
- Ensure all shift team members are aware of the plan, goal, and vision for the day.
- Supervise team member contests and recognition during shifts.
- Ensure portions are correct and meet weight and presentation expectations.
- Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation, and quality are top-notch.
- Ensure the store is tidy, clean, and organized at all times.
- Be an advocate for improvement in speed, cleanliness, accuracy, and customer service.
- Handle customer requests appropriately and facilitate customer recovery.
- Enforce the disciplinary system and violations of the Team Member Manual of Policies.
- Optimize food cost and labor cost best practices and work towards consistent and constant improvement.
Essential requirements:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Additional education or experience in the hotel, retail, hospitality, restaurant, or fast-service industry will be valued.
Experience: One year or more of prior experience in the hotel, retail, hospitality, restaurant, or fast-service industry.
