Exciting Opportunity for a Pediatric RN - Join Our Dynamic Team!

Job Description:


- Position: Seasonal Travel RN - Pediatrics Step Down Unit
- Shift: 07:00 - 19:00
- Location: Denver, CO
- Unit Information:
- 36 Private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations
- Approximately 60 dedicated staff members


- Staffing Structure:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN (patient free), 1-3 PCTs (CNA's), Clinical Nurse Coordinator available 4 days/week
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN (patient free), 1-2 PCTs, Clinical Nurse Coordinator available as staffing allows


- Patient Care Ratios:
- Step Down Patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen): 1:3
- Basic Care Patients: 1:4


- Equipment & Technology:
- Phillips Monitors
- EMR: Meditech


- Hiring Profile:
- Must Have:
- Minimum 1-year current Pediatric RN experience
- BLS & NRP certifications
- Comfortable with high flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes
- Preferred:
- Prior Meditech experience


- Typical Procedures:
- NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, Phlebotomy
- Accuvein device available
- Rarely: Lumbar Punctures

- Willingness to work night shifts required for new travelers
- Candidates with extensive travel experience preferred
- Schedule flexibility to accommodate traveler preferences
- Every other weekend commitment
