Apply now to join a dedicated healthcare team in one of the most sought-after Richmond healthcare jobs.Job Details\n \n Position: Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room RN\n Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment\n Location: Richmond, VA 23226\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010\n Start Date: 9/14/2026\n Duration: 16 weeks\n Shift Duration: 12-hour nights\n Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and major holiday coverage required\n Hours Per Week: 36\n Setting: Emergency Department / Emergency Room\n Population: Patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults\n Job Requirements\n \n Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility\n Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN or ER nursing experience required\n Experience with conscious sedation required\n BLS and ACLS required\n CPI / de-escalation training required\n EPIC experience preferred\n Ability to pass an EKG exam at orientation\n Strong assessment, critical thinking, and rapid prioritization skills\n Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity acute care environment\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients across the lifespan\n Perform initial and ongoing assessments, triage, and reassessments in a fast-paced ED setting\n Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with nursing standards and policies\n Support stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed\n Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and disposition\n Document care accurately and efficiently using electronic health records\n Promote patient safety, infection control, and best practices in every interaction\n Respond calmly and professionally to changing patient conditions and urgent situations\n Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during stressful moments\n \n Ready for your next travel nursing opportunity?
