About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Med-Surg Telemetry – Maryland**Start Date:** November 9, 2026**Location:** Baltimore, Maryland**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; every other weekend required; self-scheduling with flexibility required; no block schedules available**Highlights:**- Med-Surg/Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients with cardiac monitoring- Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts- Average daily census of approximately 40 patients- Cerner charting system (experience preferred)- 24-hour orientation period including two days on unit- Telemetry interpretation exam completed during orientation (pass/fail)- One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract- Floating within scope of care as needed to meet facility needs**Requirements:**- Active Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required- Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required- ACLS and BLS certifications required- Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management experience- Remote telemetry monitoring experience- Rapid Response/Code Team experience- Pre/post cardiac catheterization experience- Blood product administration experience- Central line, peripheral line, and PICC line management- Heparin protocol and non-titratable cardiac drip experience- Experience with feeding tube management, PCA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal- Surgical drain, tracheostomy, and wound/wound vac experience- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcomed**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This Med-Surg/Telemetry position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population requiring cardiac monitoring in a supportive environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
