About the Role

The Dishwasher plays an essential role in supporting the Champions Social Club culinary experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. This position is responsible for cleaning and properly storing dishware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while supporting the overall cleanliness and efficiency of daily kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced culinary environment. You will work closely with the Culinary team to maintain Champions' standards for cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, cookware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate, clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine and dishwashing area throughout the shift.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing, storage, and work areas in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Unload, organize, and properly store clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, remove waste from floors and work surfaces, separate recyclables, and properly dispose of grease and other kitchen waste.
• Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Stock kitchen workstations and assist the Culinary team with maintaining necessary supplies during service.
• Assist with basic food preparation and other kitchen support tasks as directed by culinary leadership.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, safety, and storage procedures in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures according to established kitchen standards.
• Safely operate and properly care for dishwashing and kitchen equipment.
• Follow direction from culinary leadership and communicate effectively with team members throughout the shift.
• Report unsafe working conditions, equipment concerns, maintenance needs, or other operational issues to management.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful approach when working with team members and leadership.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous restaurant, kitchen, stewarding, or dishwashing experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler Certification required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, cleaning procedures, and commercial kitchen equipment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of the Culinary team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, safety, and detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability to adhere to Champions Social Club policies, procedures, grooming standards, and code of conduct.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and use kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, cold temperatures, wet or slippery surfaces, cleaning products, and commercial kitchen equipment.
