Pony Bird is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Herculaneum to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.

What does a Direct Support Professional do? Support individuals to reach their full life potential Maintain quality of life with dignity and respect Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and provide total care supports Encourage independence to the individual's capacityServe as a positive role model to promote appropriate adult behavior Provide accurate documentation Adhere and implement Individual Support Plans Assure a safe, clean environment upholding accreditation standards and regulations Team-player who can also work independently Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position Schedule and Work Location Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00am - 4:00pm flexible schedule Herculaneum Qualifications High School diploma or GED Minimum of 21 years of age Valid driver's license in good standing Interpersonal communication skills Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve Ability to evacuate individuals served in the event of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques, paid training provided Light computer skills to include data entry and word processing Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served Pony Bird, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
