Surgical Assistant
Job Title: Surgical Assistant/Surgical First Assist Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM (06:30 – 17:00) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year experience in specialty required License: BLS Certifications: NBSTSA certified Must-Have: Ability to back table and assist in surgery.
Description: Start date is ASAP. Shifts are 10 hours, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call required one day per week. Call is every 5-6 weekends. Candidates must be able to back table and assist in surgery. All staff members are capable of assisting in surgery as well as back table surgeries when needed. Certification as a Surgical First Assistant is required. Basic Life Support certification is mandatory. One year of experience in the specialty is required. Candidates must provide availability for time off at the time of submission.
