Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and administer medications via a variety of routes
• Formulate, document, and maintain individualized patient care plans
• Provide wound, line, and drain care in accordance with clinical protocols
• Operate unit equipment including Epic EMR, Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals machines
• Float across multiple med-surg units and campuses within the local health system, including oncology, cardiac, neuro, trauma, observation, and medical behavioral units
• Call in daily prior to shift to receive unit assignment; nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4–5 (7a–11p) and 1:5–6 (11p–7a)

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience in a large, high-volume hospital (200+ beds)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience in a Level 2 or higher trauma center; willingness to float within the med-surg cluster and between campuses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous float pool or resource pool experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced hospital environment with 250 or more beds
• First-time travelers with a primary background in Resource Pool or Float Pool may be considered
