Options Residential has an exciting opportunity available to join our leadership team as our Director of Services! We are a 245D licensed program which provides residential-based habilitation services in Dakota and Hennepin Counties for adults with mental illness, brain injuries, or related conditions. We currently group homes and assisted living facilites in the south metro area (Burnsville, Bloomington, Eagan, Rosemount, West St Paul, Hastings)

We have two directors in our Director role; one focuses on the services for our clients and one focuses on our workforce. The Director - workforce focus leads workforce strategy for residential services, ensuring programs are staffed with qualified, trained, and engaged employees who can provide consistent, person-centered support. This role oversees staffing plans, partners with HR on recruitment and retention strategies, monitors workforce budgets, coaches supervisors, supports employee performance systems, and ensures compliance with workforce-related requirements.

Starting Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 DOQ

Benefits: Eligible 1st of the month after 60 days employment. Health insurance (ICHRA), Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life/LTD. 401k-eligible after 90 days employment. Must be scheduled 30+ hours per week to be benefits-eligible.

Hours: Mon-Friday, 40+ hours weekly. There will be occasions that the Director will need to work evenings and/or weekends, depending on organizational needs.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

• Ensuring all programs are in operation to maximum capacity and coordinating and implementing an action plan for programs lacking capacity.
• Educating supervisors and staff on the organization's mission, vision, values, strategic plan, tactical goals, departmental budgets, and medical billing.
• Maintaining a positive public image and marketing program services to other organizations and/or referral sources

EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT

Ensure all employees complete orientation and ongoing training as required by licensing rules and regulations. Manage performance and provide coaching to supervisors and employees through consultation and consistent enforcement of agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Implement, manage, and closely monitor site staffing hours and budgets to support the overall strategic plan, effectively managing within this budget, and accurately reporting on progress.
• Interviewing candidates for open positions, providing initial and ongoing training, and coaching supervisors on performance expectations.
• Providing ethical direction to employees.
• Assisting employees in their professional development through training and team building.
• Encouraging and demonstrating open communication among employees on all client issues.
• Creating, communicating, and enforcing agency guidelines, policies, and procedures to all employees.
• Providing guidance, training and accountability to and for supervisors regarding staffing management, employee relations and working effectively with individuals supported within the programs.
• Work closely with supervisors to address and resolve employee relations and performance issues. Conduct disciplinary meetings up to and including terminations in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
• Complete performance reviews and provide feedback to individuals; take appropriate action as warranted by performance.
• Training and monitoring supervisors in maintaining staffing levels to minimize shortages and prevent overtime expense.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

• Lead Residential Services with a Person-Centered philosophy that promotes the ability for residents to achieve the best quality of life possible.
• Ensure services and service locations are in compliance with licensing and Options Residential standards.
• Train supervisory staff (Area Managers and Home Coordinators) to monitor program effectiveness, quality, and determination of outcomes as indicated within CSSP, CSSP Addendum, and other program plans.
• Coordinate with other departments (billing, intake, marketing, and strategic planning) as well as outside providers professionally to meet individual resident and agency goals.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requires relevant education and experience to work independently. Must meet MN 245D qualifications for Designated Manager . A four-year college degree in social services or related field is preferred.

• A four-year history of successful supervisory competencies is required . Demonstrate rational objective decision-making, strong deductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication including fluency in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Frequently organizes and completes multiple responsibilities at once, requiring time management, organizational and reporting skills, and proven ability to achieve assigned deadlines.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration with direct and indirect supervisors, team members, other departments, families, and external stakeholders. Requires ability to work with people of different abilities, ages, cultures, and ethnicities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, coordination of people and resources, and customer service.
• Available to work a flexible full-time schedule including answering and responding to calls for emergencies some evenings and weekends.
• Requires a valid driver's license, personal auto, personal auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

Options Residential uses E-Verify

Options Residential, Inc will conduct a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study on all new employees. Employees in driving positions will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle Background check. Continued employment will be contingent on a cleared background study and a satisfactory MVR.
