Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of acute care experience License: Active Minnesota license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Ability to work 5x8 days with every 4th weekend - Experience in general acute care including medical, surgical, orthopedics, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care Description: We are looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The position requires a commitment to working 5 days a week, with shifts scheduled from 08:00 to 16:30. You will be providing therapy services in an acute care setting, focusing on a variety of patient diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have experience with stroke patients and general rehabilitative care. This role includes working with patients who have medical, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac needs. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. A strong emphasis will be placed on therapeutic interventions, patient education, and safety measures.
