Part-Time Server at Springdale Golf Club

Springdale Golf Club, located in Princeton, NJ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation: $15.92 - $17.00 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Describes specials of the day to guests; answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction; replenishes items as needed
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests
• Maintains an organized workstation and side work duties
• Sets up and breaks down golf stations every shift
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes Point of Sale System
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service
• Cross-training in bartending service required
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Valid driver's license required (required when operating the picker for range balls and golf cart)
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses: Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
• Knowledge of POS system
