Trailer/SRI Repair Specialist

Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist Location: 4445 Michoud Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70129, United States of America. U‑Haul is looking for skilled technicians to keep our newest fleet in top condition. Whether you are new to the industry or have experience, this role offers career growth through our Technician Training Program. Primary Responsibilities Secure trailers on lifts and dollies. Perform tire and brake maintenance. Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components. Dismount, balance and mount tires. Occasionally road‑test vehicles. Work on a production line. Use proprietary electronic pre‑inspection and repair checklist. Assist in additional areas as necessary under supervisor direction. Minimum Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of repair experience preferred. Driver’s license. Ability to work as part of a team and individually. Basic computer skills. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as operating around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields) may be necessary. Physical Demands Physical exertion including long periods of standing, moving between indoor and outdoor spaces, moving a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted), and prolonged use of tools.
