Restaurant Manager Roles/ExpectationsThe purpose of a Chick-fil-A Restaurant Manager (RM) is threefold:Ensure daily execution of our mission to be the Most Caring Company, and our Strategy of Winning Hearts Every DayLead the business in achieving our sales/transactions goals, as well as adhering to our Food Safety and Food Quality requirementsProtect and nurture the culture within the team and grow their commitment to our core values: Care for Yourself, Care for Your Teammates, Care for the Guest and Care for the BusinessRMs will fill any one of 4 roles on a shift. Manager on Duty (MOD), Drive-thru Lead, Hot Production or Cold Production Lead. Leadership of a certain area involves; management of systems and processes, team engagement, and measurement of real business results in that area.Tasks/AbilitiesMODOpen and/or close the restaurant following operational and safety standards.Manage labor cost by ensuring TMs clock in/out as scheduledEnsure proper fulfillment and timeliness of all catering orders.Issue performance coaching and/or documentation for tardiness or missed shifts, uniform violations, general performanceCash management – safe and tills counted every shift, inaccuracies reported and followed up onReport TM injuries through Sedgwick (Insurance company)Drive-thru LeadPush transaction counts by encouraging speed and accuracyAssess and redeploy TMs to relieve bottlenecks and close gapsSet and communicate goals for each hourEnsure tech and gear are put away after shift, everything is in working orderCommunicate business level with kitchen Hot/Cold Production LeadsManage Food Cost daily by reducing waste and checking quality products are received by vendorsUnderstand and execute SAFE Daily Critical audits every shiftEnsure food safety practices are being followed, i.e. timers, chicken cool down process, date labelsPrint prep reports for daily use AllOverall guest satisfactionTrain, Evaluate, Coach, Develop, and Mentor Team MembersCommunicate goals, upcoming events/promotions to the teamRecognize TM achievements, celebrate life events, and mentor in times of needRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal, written communication skills & customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailTime management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentEducation/Experience:2+ years of CFA or other relevant experienceMust be able to communicate proficiently both written and orally in EnglishSome college experience desired but not requiredBenefitsOpportunity for 4/40 work weekSundays off + 1 Saturday per month3 Day weekend once a quarterEmployee meal allowance up to 2 meals a dayHealth Care, Paid Time off and 6% matching 401K availableScholarship opportunitiesOnline Learning Library2 floating paid holidays a yearClosed Thanksgiving and Christmas, shortened hours on several other major holidays (July 4th, Labor/Memorial/New Years Day)Physical Requirements:Climbing, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting requiredProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
