Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, dietary requirements, and portion guidelines

Ensure all food is prepared with attention to quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, including equipment, utensils, storage, and serving areas

Follow proper food handling, safety, and infection control procedures at all times

Adhere to all facility policies as well as state and federal dietary and sanitation regulations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Texas Food Handler Certificate preferred

Experience & Skills

Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling practices

Understanding of universal precautions and safety standards

Previous experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting is a plus

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail

A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to serving others
