Adjunct Professor, School of Arts & Sciences (pool posting)

The School of Arts and Sciences at St. Bonaventure University is continuously seeking qualified adjunct instructors. Adjunct professors are hired on an as-needed basis to teach courses across various disciplines within the School of Arts and Sciences. This is a pool posting, and applications will be reviewed as adjunct needs arise. Appointments and course assignments are contingent on enrollment, funding, and department needs. Applications are accepted for all departments, including but not limited to: Biology Chemistry Computer Science Cybersecurity English History Mathematics Native American & Indigenous Studies Philosophy Physics Political Science Psychology Social Work Sociology & Criminology Theology & Franciscan Studies Visual and Performing Arts World Languages and Cultural Studies Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in assigned discipline(s). Develop and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and assessments. Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress. Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment. Adhere to university policies and academic standards. Participate in department meetings and training, as necessary. Minimum Qualifications A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or a closely related field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or terminal degree in the relevant field. Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level is preferred. Industry experience in the field of instruction. Compensation $3,000 - $4,000 per 3-credit hour course St. Bonaventure University is located in the scenic Enchanted Mountain region of Western New York, approximately 75 miles south of Buffalo, New York, with easy access to major metropolitan areas.
