Automation Technician

Automation Technician We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support and maintain highly automated production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working with PLCs and robotics, and helping drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and related automation systems. Create, configure, and troubleshoot PLC networks while supporting new equipment installations and production line expansions. Maintain PLC software backups and ensure programming devices remain updated and ready for use. Support automated robotic systems, including troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance. Train maintenance team members on PLC diagnostics and ladder logic fundamentals. Install, modify, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in accordance with engineering standards and safety guidelines. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. Assist with facility and equipment maintenance as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in an on-call or flexible schedule that may include weekends or occasional support across multiple shifts. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or manufacturing maintenance. Hands‑on experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment. Familiarity with industrial networking and automation systems. Experience supporting robotic equipment is a plus (Yaskawa experience preferred but not required). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience using preventative maintenance (PM) or CMMS software is preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams. Education Associate degree in Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent military training, technical certifications, or relevant hands‑on experience will also be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
