Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the 12 Tower Unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, ensuring a focus on safety, communication, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient assessments and provide general care.
• Monitor and manage care for patients with wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, drains, chest tubes, and those experiencing strokes or seizures.
• Administer medications, including Heparin via drip.
• Oversee post-operative procedures such as amputations, ostomy care, wound vac management, and oral surgeries.
• Ensure adherence to safety checks and bedside shift reports.
• Utilize equipment including PD cyclers, IV pumps, and Hoyer lifts effectively.
• Participate in fall prevention and infection prevention protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience in managing patients requiring dialysis or PCA pumps is preferred.
