Key Responsibilities

• Practice at the highest level of RN licensure by providing quality, competent care in accordance with state board of nursing standards and best practice guidelines.
• Assess, plan, organize, and direct nursing functions while collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized plans of care.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers through a compassionate, service-oriented approach following the nursing process.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of medical records while upholding confidentiality standards.
• Delegate appropriately to team members based on skill level and advocate for patients across the healthcare continuum.
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives and support the education of patients, families, and new staff members.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure issued by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required prior to start date.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in an onsite acute care environment.
• Ability to frequently lift, move, or carry objects or persons up to 35 pounds or more.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience as an RN in a healthcare setting.
• Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
