Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Inspector / Packer to join a high-production manufacturing team in Sand Springs. This night-shift position is responsible for inspecting forged rail products, verifying dimensions and quality, operating packaging equipment, and preparing finished products for shipment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with repetitive production work, and capable of maintaining consistent quality throughout a fast-paced 12-hour shift.

Required Experience & Skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to accurately use basic gauges and measuring tools
• Comfortable performing repetitive production and inspection tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work efficiently throughout a 12-hour night shift
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Forklift experience is a plus (training available)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Inspect forged rail spikes for defects and verify compliance with quality standards
• Use gauges and measuring tools to confirm proper product size and shape
• Operate packaging equipment and monitor package fill weights
• Label, stack, organize, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Monitor finished products throughout the packaging process for quality concerns
• Move materials and finished products throughout the production area
• Assist with forklift and overhead crane operations as trained and assigned
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements
• Perform additional production and packaging duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous manufacturing, inspection, packaging, or production experience
• Experience using gauges or other measuring equipment
• Forklift or overhead crane experience
• Previous experience working with forged or manufactured metal products

Physical Requirements
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stacking, and repetitive movement
• Ability to safely work around production machinery and material handling equipment while wearing required PPE

Work Environment
• High-production industrial manufacturing facility
• Fast-paced environment working with forged rail products and packaging equipment
• Exposure to production machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, and industrial materials
• Night-shift environment focused on safety, consistency, quality, and productivity
