Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry readings, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and implement individualized care plans.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC EMR.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission; Iowa RN license required upon placement.
• Minimum experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Step-Down nursing required.
• Some oncology nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a trauma center environment.
• Familiarity with charge nurse or preceptor responsibilities.
• Skills checklist completed within the past year.
