Junior Estimator

Jr. Estimator Pay: $75,000 + annual salary Location: North Richland Hills, TX (In-Person) Position Overview Since 1993, Ragle Inc. has completed numerous construction projects across Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. We specialize in highway and bridge construction, with additional expertise in deep excavation, grading, and pipe work. Our reputation is built on meeting commitments and delivering strong results through experienced, dedicated teams. Ragle Inc. is seeking a Jr. Estimator to join our Dallas/Fort Worth team. This position will primarily support electrical estimating and is ideal for an engineering professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, team-focused, and interested in developing a career in construction estimating. The Jr. Estimator will work alongside experienced estimators to review project plans and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, develop cost estimates, and coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Key Responsibilities Assist with estimating electrical scopes for assigned bids and projects Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with developing labor, material, and equipment costs Assist with obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes Identify potential scope gaps, project risks, and constructability concerns Support preparation and review of bid packages and final estimates Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams regarding scope and pricing Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed Support the estimating and preconstruction teams with additional bid activities Field Exposure Participate in site visits during the bidding phase to better understand project scope and existing conditions Gain field exposure to electrical installations, construction sequencing, and project operations Work hours and field involvement may vary based on project needs Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering is preferred 1+ years of estimating, construction, engineering, or related experience preferred but not required Interest in electrical construction and estimating Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with estimating or takeoff software is a plus Additional Information Ragle Inc. does not sponsor employment visas now or in the future Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify Offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening Ragle Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws Ragle Inc. does not accept unsolicited resumes or candidate submissions from third-party recruiters or staffing agencies Ragle Inc.
