Location: Staten Island, New York Job Type: Part-Time | Contract (As-Needed) Work Type: Primarily Remote (Telehealth)

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides direct psychiatric and medication management services to students utilizing the College of Staten Island (CSI) Counseling Center. This role focuses on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical consultation in support of student mental health services. The PNP will work primarily via telehealth, with on-campus presence required only when specifically requested by the College. Services are delivered on an as-needed, part-time basis, averaging 23 days per month.

Work Schedule

• Part-time, as-needed services
• Expected usage: 23 days per month
• Standard hours: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Occasional off-hours telehealth support may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for students
• Provide ongoing medication management and monitoring
• Offer clinical consultation and collaboration with Counseling Center staff
• Support mental health treatment planning as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with applicable regulations
• Participate in telehealth-based psychiatric services
• Provide on-campus services when requested by CSI

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
• Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification
• DEA License (Mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric clinical setting
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
• Experience working with college or young adult populations
• Prior telehealth/remote psychiatric care experience
