Cath Lab Tech (R)

Overview St. Mary's General Hospital, located in Passaic, NJ, is an acute care hospital that provides a broad range of services including cardiovascular, cancer, maternal-child health, and outpatient behavioral health. It employs over 550 physicians and 1,000 employees and is the only hospital in Passaic County. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Will ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitor the presence of all instruments and supplies, participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and assist in the training of new staff. Will assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Qualifications Education and Work Experience ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. Proficient computer skills. The current compensation range for this role is $29.02 to $58.22 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
