Surgical Technician - CVOR
Location: Reston, VA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician with a focus on Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in scrub and circulate procedures, as well as strong teamwork skills to facilitate patient care in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in room setup and turnover, ensuring all disposables and instrument sets are available as needed
- Maintain sterile techniques during procedures
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and provide excellent patient care
- Support advanced procedures including open heart surgeries and vascular procedures
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- CST credential preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in CVOR settings is highly desirable
- Ability to set up and operate equipment such as Belmont and cell saver
