HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician

Nextech is a leading HVAC/R service provider looking for an experienced HVAC/R Technician to deliver reliable, high‑quality service to commercial clients. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components. Perform maintenance and emergency service, including after‑hours on‑call rotations. Accurately document all service details using company‑provided iPads. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards. Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery. Identify additional service opportunities and share them with customers. Work to schedule and complete tasks within time constraints, ensuring all safety procedures are followed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician. May require a Journeyman's License or state‑specific licenses. EPA certification and a valid driver’s license. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans. Comfort with mobile apps and technology. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed. Physical Demands Safely work at heights using ladders up to 28‑32 feet, operating equipment within manufacturer weight limits. Lifting, carrying, and maneuvering tools and equipment up to 100 lbs. Bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching into confined spaces; performing twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks. Maintaining physical stamina for repetitive tasks and extended activity. Standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders throughout the day. Using vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously. Operating work‑related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers. Traveling to customer sites as needed; occasionally working in an office environment.
