Regional Estimator

Job Summary The Regional Estimator will lead large‑project cost and price estimating for new and upcoming bids, including mining. The role involves preparing project applications, installations, operations, and risk training for sales teams, analyzing construction documents to ensure safe, profitable projects, and mentoring sales staff to secure profitable contracts. Key Responsibilities Use ZOHO, Construct Connect, and Industrial Info Resources (IIR) to identify significant large‑project opportunities. Collaborate with the Branch Manager and Sales Team to manage the bid/quote process. Study specifications and assist the operations team in planning procedures for each construction phase. Work with Fleet and Engineering to ensure quoted equipment meets scope requirements and availability. Research construction documents and analyze specifications to determine estimated costs. Produce scope of work, schedule, and installation processes. Review bid requirements and coordinate contract terms and conditions. Include value‑engineering ideas on bids. Submit 100% of bids and budgets in a timely manner. Obtain clarification on plans and specifications from architects, project managers, and engineers as necessary. Develop unit costs accurately. Attend project site pre‑bid meetings and site tours as needed. Accurately assess and plan takeoff workload. Perform accurate, thorough, and timely quantity takeoffs using the company format, details, and coding for all project documents. Develop and analyze value engineering and management analysis options. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher. Experience: 5 years related engineering, job costing, and/or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales experience in construction rentals preferred. Travel Yes, 1‑25%.
