• Location: Wilmington, NC 28401
• Schedule: Monday–Friday day coverage; candidates must be agreeable to 5x10s full time
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $10,620–$11,190
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Supervision-only anesthesia coverage
• Charting System: Epic
• Case Types: General, cardiac, orthopedic, obstetric, and pediatric anesthesia

Job Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesiology
• Current North Carolina physician license or ability to obtain one
• Board certification or fellowship required
• ECFMG and FLEX required
• At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
• Experience supervising CRNAs preferred
• Comfort working across a broad range of surgical case types

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities within the anesthesia department
• Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgery and other procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and review patient history
• Obtain and verify informed consent
• Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expectations with patients
• Oversee induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor physiological condition throughout the perioperative period
• Intervene clinically as needed to ensure safe, effective care
• Support a supervision-focused anesthesia model across multiple surgical specialties
