Summary Performs complete process of Holter monitor, Event recorder monitor, MCOT monitoring from time of hookup, education of patient/family family/designee, downloading results of study, processing paperwork and follow-up. Completes all appropriate paperwork including computer entry. Noninvasive Cardiology Tech Summa Health - Akron City Campus Part-Time / 20 Hours / Days (8a-4:30p M-F - variable locations) Summary Performs complete process of Holter monitor, Event recorder monitor, MCOT monitoring from time of hookup, education of patient/family family/designee, downloading results of study, processing paperwork and follow-up. Completes all appropriate paperwork including computer entry. May assists the clinical staff in confirmation of procedures and patient instruction of clinical tests. Responds to instructions given by physician or nurse. Responsible for department process such as disinfecting processes when applicable. Assists in coverage of the front desk greeter duties when assigned. Minimum Qualifications Formal Education Required: High School graduate or equivalent with further education and/or courses in the health care profession Experience & Training Required: Must have Facility approved BLS Prior experience in the health field with direct patient interaction, preferred Ability to learn application and removal of Holters and event recorders Ability to analyze Holter monitor data Ability to follow directions regarding department processes implementation Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity Maintain confidentiality of patient information Ability to be accurate Ability to work in pressure situations and meet deadlines Ability to work with others consistently demonstrates Summa Health System Standards of Behavior Attends mandatory hospital and department meetings and in-service education programs Level of Physical Demands: Lifting floor to standing position.
